We are in the process of getting estimates for work. At the same time we are working with Public Works Right of Way (owns the land), Parks Department (in case we can get assistance), Planning and Historic Preservation (to make sure we’re following the rules). To throw another city department in there, we also have to coordinate with City Utilities since they are starting a construction project right next to the sign next month.
Our intention, once we have estimates and verify we aren’t stepping on any city departments’ toes, is to set up a fundraiser, look for additional grants and ask for volunteers to help coordinate the project.
In the meantime, we will get safety fencing up and try to clean up the area as best we can without use of heavy equipment.
